Hey everyone.
As promised, I'm trying to keep in touch a little more consistently these days. After everything that's happened, I realized that any prolonged lack of contact could lead a reasonable person to fear the worst, which is why I'm trying my darnedest to stay connected to the world outside the gas station.
As a first step in this new resolution, I've chosen to dust off one of my older social media accounts, which means that the gas station now has an official Instagram page. I don't have a whole lot of stuff posted on there yet, but as people keep sending me weird stuff that doesn't really fit anywhere else, you can expect that page to grow.
Also, huge thank you to GrumpyKitten for the coffee. It was delicious.
WHAT THE HELL IS JACK DOING?
(This title was a joke at first, but now I'm stuck with it.)
I know I sound like a broken record, but the audio book for Volume One is coming sooooon. More details will be posted as soon as Mr. Creepypasta and I have a definite date for you all.
On a strange side note, I've been collecting foreign translations of my posts. I think I'll be adding an extra page to the site where folks can enjoy the gas station in other languages. If anyone knows of any translations of the gas station currently out there on the web, send me a link and I'll add it to my page. (Side note: I've already had several different people offer to translate my work into Polish. I've got an official Polish translation I'll be posting, but I have to ask, is something going on in Poland I don't know about? I live in a bubble, so I wouldn't know, but did they just get rid of a law banning scary stories or something? Seems like a weird coincidence, but I'm all for it.)
Volume Two and Three are also trucking along quite nicely. This is where I've been spending most of my free time. I am very proud of where they stand right now, and I can't wait to share them with the rest of you.
Also, I know there haven't been many (or, I guess any) new story posts in a long time. I hate this fact more than anyone else. I mean, I've got so much to tell you all! What happened to Jerry? What was the deal with Rita the Raccoon? Some third thing? I want to sit down and post everything and bring you all up to speed, but the truth is this: It's a long story. And with all my responsibilities at the moment, I've had to make a tough decision on how to best utilize my free time.
For this reason, I've decided I need to finish Volume Two before I make any new story posts or NoSleep entries. The good news is this: Volume Two will answer (almost) everything. Is that a lot of pressure for me to be putting on this book that isn't even finalized yet? Probably. Do I think it will live up to the high expectations I'm building for it? Yeah, mostly. Am I starting to psyche myself out now to the point that I'll never release Volume Two out of fear that it won't be good enough? Possibly. Should I stop asking myself questions and move on to your questions instead? Sure.
Questions for Jack
Very vague and off topic question, but are there any very obscure creepypastas that you'd recommend to your followers?
After I first released TftGS on NoSleep, I was contacted by a couple different people wondering if I was the same person who wrote “I sold my soul for a used dishwasher.” Sadly, I am not, but this led me to look into him and I must say, after reading a couple of his stories, I consider this a huge compliment.
If you’re looking for obscure stuff, anything by u/PeteTheSeed is worth your time.
You’ve been talking about turning TftGS into a tv series, and if you do what’s your dream cast?
Wow, this is a really good question. In fact, I think it deserves its own post to adequately answer. I can definitively say I have two people in my dream cast so far:
For Tom: Sam Elliott
For the shapeshifter: Donald Glover.
I don’t really know about the rest of us. What do you guys think?
Jack... were you and “her” engaged?
Volume Two.
On another note are the any other OG fans who can hook me up with part 4 ;)
There is no part 4. It doesn’t exist. Don’t go looking for it!!!
Hey Jack, is it okay if I adopt one of the raccoons?
That’s entirely up to them. But if I were a betting man, I’d say no.
Oh Jack how is Rosa?? Was she ever replaced or did she stay safe?
Rosa is great.
Finish the frickin volume already! Every day more fans will stop waiting. Post before you die of frickin insomnia!
I’m trying! There have been so many distractions lately, but I’ve been working on it, I promise.
If you have any questions you'd like to see answered, leave them in the comments and I'll try to get to them.
Or if you have any opinions on who should play us in the live action television show based on the gas station, let's hear them. I'll probably disagree with everyone, so don't let that discourage you. Tell me your best, worst, and craziest ideas for any actor, budget notwithstanding, alive or dead, and I'll let you know what I think.
Until next time.
-Jack
Yes Donald Glover for the shape shifter
Jack, Do you know if Carlos was the person who talked to Eric Riggins (The Detective) About the paramilitary organization in the van? Theres something that he says about Eric reminding him of a guy he knew in the army, kind of like the thing Carlos said to Benjamin. Is that where Carlos went?
Hey Jack, I was wondering what genre of books do you read? Do you have any favourites?
I know he is such a well known face but...I think Evan Peters really has a Jack kind of look. He already looks perpetually tired too.
My Grandma has just given me a gnome with a green hat. Should I be concerned?
