So I have this obsession with these kinds of stories where the terrifying is met with apathy and sarcasm. It got me thinking of John Dies and how that got done, and subsequentially two things.
1 - Use the John Dies cast but put the actors wherever you'd think they belong. I see Paul Giovanni as Benjamin and Rob Mayes as Jerry. I kinda wanna see Doug Jones play Jack because he seems like he'd be convincingly apathetic to the horror around him.
2 - It'd be a pretty great movie to put together. TLDR:
(Gabbing my butt off commencing for the setup ideas): Like, give it a narration and scene shift style with the narration of journal entries peppered in in short bursts and maybe parts where the narration hitches and it, in turn, causes errors in a scene. Using Jack's unfortunate memory situation as a key part of explaining what is happening in the film would be great. Could go with a narration and scene shift style like Fear and Loathing. Give some narration of journal entries as they play out maybe but keep them short and sweet to avoid distracting too much from the scenes. The scenes I'll get into how I see them later. I gotta shut off my brain for now.
I'm just following my creative brain down a rabbit hole if ya'll wanna jump in on this train. Ch00 Ch000...
This sounds like a wildly fun and chaotic concept! The mix of horror, apathy, and sharp narration could make for a truly unique film—especially with the right cast delivering deadpan reactions to the bizarre. The idea of narration glitches affecting the scenes is such a clever touch! Definitely hopping on this creative train.

Razor Shark returns demo brings up the theme of the ocean and its inhabitants, which evokes thoughts of the need to protect the marine environment. Game mechanics based on underwater themes can symbolise the importance of preserving the oceans and being environmentally conscious.
I always thought of it in my head as a TV series. like with game of thrones 45-50 min episodes with and 10-12 a season. I think that would be able to catch the in depth story of the blog/books. At the same time I thought because it’s so goofy and fun it would have cold opens aswell though, my idea was to capture a lot of the stuff in the blog that kinda takes a back seat in the books because they are so focussed on the story. Or even use the cold opens to give back ground to the people that die in the show, like how we get the back story of spencer, Travis and the dude that drives the school bus (as Jerry put it the red shirt).

While I can't comment on the film/casting ideas at this time, I can say that there is a (mostly accurate) visual depiction of the gas station that will be part of the VR HorrorCon at the end of October. If you have VR chat, you can take a virtual tour for yourself.
At some point, I would also like to discuss the details describing the gas station if at all possible so I can more clearly envision the space when I do the 3D modeling and the 2D art that will follow. If anyone wants to start that chain, I'd love to see what everyone has gathered so far in terms of definitive descriptors and even any possible inconsistencies, There's The Gas Station Wiki but it's details are limited and my brain runs on descriptions. May listen to the entire story thus far and transcribe what details I find later.
